He has served on several boards including The Rotary Club of Sacramento, the Citizen’s Advisory Board for the renovation of the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium and the Sacramento Valley Soaring Society.

Ken Barnes, Board Chair,is president of KENBARNES Global Advisors LLC, a product development, marketing and supply chain consulting firm. He has served on the boards of numerous community and civic organizations in California, as well as in New York City and Beijing during his residence in those cities. Ken holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a MBA from Philadelphia’s Drexel University. In addition to their professional and volunteer lives, Ken and his wife Melanie are avid travelers and fitness enthusiasts; they have enjoyed a happy, healthy marriage for over 16 years.

Carolyn Rich Curtis, Ph.D., Executive Director, is the founder of the Relationship Skills Center. Curtis is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over thirty years of clinical experience, specializing in marital therapy. She has been an Adjunct faculty member at CSU, Sacramento and at American River College, and has presented papers at major international, national, state and local conferences and spoken at the White House.

Tony Browne, Board Member, is a management consultant experienced in working with and between community service organizations, assisting governing boards and senior executives to evaluate options, build relationships and achieve strategic objectives. His activities include affiliations and mergers, strategic planning, community and internal relations, governing board formation and training, and conflict resolution.

Steve Raymond, CFP, MBA, Vice Chair, is a financial planner serving individuals, self-employed persons and small businesses with their financial planning, investment and insurance needs. He is a Certified Financial Planning professional. Steve earned a BA degree in Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire, as well as an MS degree in Management Science and an MBA in Finance from the University of Miami, graduating at the top of his class. He lives in Granite Bay, California with his wife of twenty-one years. He enjoys cycling, golf, travel and attending college football games.

Guy Black, CPA, Board Treasurer, is the owner of GEBCPA. Black is involved in helping businesses with accounting, consulting and taxation needs. These projects include consulting, system installations, interpreting financial data and making recommendations. Previously he has held multiple Senior level and managerial positions. Guy earned a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and he enjoys home improvement, travel and college football.

Amanda K. Olekszulin, Board Member, is a Sacramento native. She is the owner and principal at the environmental consulting firm Ascent Environmental, Inc. She focuses on providing environmentally sound and strategic solutions with a high level of client service. In addition to her technical role, she is also responsible for the financial and human resources management of the firm. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Science from the University of San Diego and a Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. She and her husband Richard live in Elk Grove and have two beautiful children, Alivia and Johnathan.

Becky Shook-Wotzka, Board Secretary, is a Psychology Practitioner with 15 years of experience in the psychology field. Shook has a B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with doctoral-level coursework in business Management. Ms. Shook is the co-owner w/ her mother of Fairway Divorce Solutions, Sacramento….a company changing the way divorce happens. Fairway is a mediation/negotiation company that works with both individuals in a couple to resolve their divorce without going to court. Ms. Shook is the wife of Jeffrey Wotzka and mother of two internationally adopted kids, Lexi from China and Gabi from Vietnam. She is a world traveler with multiple trips to Europe, Asia, and Canada and a frequent traveler in the States for fun and business.

Gregory Patton, Board Member, is President & Chief Executive Officer of Sierra Vista Bank. He has been in banking and financial services in the greater Sacramento & El Dorado County area for the past 30 years. He holds undergraduate degrees from Black Hills State University (BS-Education), and University of San Francisco (BA-Economics), and completed Pacific Coast Banking School in 2002. Mr. Patton is active in the community, serving as his Rotary Club’s past president, Developmental Disabilities Service Organization Foundation Treasurer, as an officer for The Masters of Giving, a local charitable foundation, and Enlightened Minds, a youth centered non-profit.
